If it was up to me, there would be a grand total of 2 rules:
1. This is a game, it's supposed to be fun.
2. Everyone has an equal right to fun.
Sadly, more clarification is required, so please also observe the following:

1. This is a game, it's supposed to be fun.
2. Everyone has an equal right to fun.
Sadly, more clarification is required, so please also observe the following:
- The standard rules of roleplay are enforced here including, but not limited to, no powergaming, allowing others full control over their characters, and expecting in character consequences to your in character actions. If you are new to roleplaying or are unfamiliar with any of these concepts, please ask for clarification in the OOC Chat forum.
- The rating of this game is somewhere between PG and PG-13. Profanity is discouraged in the out of character areas and falls outside of the theme: The characters in this world have their own set of insults and other mean things to say. Violence is much more tolerated, but should not be taken to extremes. Sexual content is not allowed, though characters need not be quite as oblivious to that as they are in the books.
- Everyone is expected to treat each other with respect, or at the very least ignore anyone who is bothering them. Agree to disagree if you have to - it won't kill you!
- Each character is allowed to post in as many threads simultaneously as they want to on boards where they're generally expected to be. For example, for a Clan warrior that would be any board within their Clan's territory and at the Gathering. For a Clan kit it would only be within their Clan's camp. For a kittypet it would be the board where they live. Each cat is allowed to be in one additional thread at a time outside of where they're expected to be. There is a general exception to this rule: if two threads are explicitly stated as happening at the same time, you can only be in one.
- Players are discouraged from waiting more than 24 hours for a reply from a particular character in a scene where it isn't just the two of you. Waiting longer can slow things to a crawl, and it helps people to post faster when they know there's a limit to how long you'll wait for them.
- Private threads are allowed, though Fate has been known to sometimes interfere with just how Private a scene is, especially if it would have required a lot of sneaking around or luck for the cats involved to actually have a private moment.
- Players with multiple characters may not use their characters to boost their other characters. For example, if one of your characters is the leader, then you may not appoint your other character to be deputy. And you can't have one of your characters betray their Clan to benefit one of your other characters. Your characters should treat your other characters just like they would any other character, if not worse just to make sure you're not being biased.
- Players with multiple characters may have more than one in a thread, but may only do so as long as they don't control more than half of the characters in the thread at any given time.
