•• Wanted: NEW and ACTIVE MEMBERS!!
Some places are college towns; banners for their school on the lamp-posts, painted walk-ways on the concrete and roads, constant sports standings on the local news. Well, the town of Faris is a high school town. Not exactly high school, more like academy for teens who're exceptional riders or scholars of horses. Although Faris is a small town, most of the land is occupied by the school and has green acres for the children and their horses. Even the local shops give them a discount on any and all items! The town is lovely and happy and crime rates are low... there's no reason not to move here! It is one of the few left in the world these days that has not been subject to major changes. There are only a few stores occupying the town, as the town was built to serve those working and attending the school. Yet times are changing for Faris. Will you be one of the new people to build the town into a city? And build the city into something great?
Striver wasn't always the booming success that it is today. Striver Equestrian Institute was originally a girl's prepatory-school back in the '70s. For years the halls were filled with strict no-nonsense women and the young girls that obeyed them. Due to lack of funding the school was closed and left abandoned until 1982. There were then three large families, two with the money to do so and one with the heart. Only then did the large abandoned academy open into a brand new school as a high school exceptional young riders. Although the standards are high, most gifted riders can find nearly any reason to be able to attend this private facility, those with enough promise are granted scholarships. Children of the prep-school and alumni are automatically accepted. Striver guarantees every student a chance in being able to one day train or breed a stable of great horses or get the chance to compete in the Olympic games.
Here the students will be taught every thing there is to know about the equine world as well as their general studies. Students, of course, range from freshman to seniors and are encouraged to bring their own mounts, although there are also school horses available. The staff are nothing but the best; most either having an master's degree in their field or having had competed highly in the past.
The campus has two large barns for the English and Western horses, as well as spacious grounds and arenas for them to hone their skills. Along with the horse and riding classes the school also has all the general courses that are included in your average high school as well as the clubs and sports teams and also equestrian sports teams.
Today Striver Equestrian Institute is everything a horse lover could dream of, and more!
