Attention: Rogues, Loners, and Kittypets

Just because your character is not a part of a Clan does not mean that they don't have warrior ancestors looking out for them. And having a warrior ancestor looking out for your character can be a very helpful thing in this RPG, especially if your character is the spiritually sensitive type. But to take advantage of that you need to inform Fate of their existence. To do so, copy the form below into a PM to Fate.

But first you need to know which of your character's ancestors qualify, because not all ancestors are warrior ancestors. For those familiar with the books this list may not make immediate sense, but trust me on this, it does! They must:

• Be dead.
  
  
• Be related to your character by blood somehow.
  
  
• Have their name known by your character, regardless how well or not your character knew them otherwise.
  
  
• Have, at the time of their death, been a follower of the warrior code, or have been the sort of cat who would have followed it if they had known it existed while they were alive.
  
  
• Care about your character enough to go through a lot of effort to keep an eye on them even beyond the grave.
  
  
• Not have another cat or group of cats that they'd be more worried about helping than your character who are too far away. To define 'too far' imagine the physical distance between your character and the other cats the ancestor would be worried about, and ask yourself whether the ancestor would be willing to commute that far to check up on your character. Make sure to mention if the ancestor travels back an forth for this reason in the form when you fill it out.
  
  
• Also, your character must have at the very least a vague belief that this ancestor could possibly be out there - ancestors can't do more than watch a cat who doesn't believe in them!
