Warriors of the Frontier is a forum RPG based on the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. It's set in a time and place completely removed from the book series - that is, the cats in the area represented by this forum are completely unaware of that storyline and live in different location. Here we create our own characters and use them tell our own stories. What we keep from the series is the particular culture of the cats and their way of living and interacting with the world.
In keeping with this theme, no cat here may have the same full warrior name as a cat in any of the books (a full list can be found in the Reference Library forum). Additionally, we'll have our own Clans, and perhaps eventually our own warrior code if the original gets modified by what happens in the forum. Because of this strong emphasis on originality, members are not required or even expected to have a strong understanding of the books this game is based upon - all you need to know can be found in the Reference Library forum. However, those who are familiar with the series should feel right at home as well.
Time on this forum when it comes to seasons and aging passes at double speed, while Gatherings and medicine cat's visits to StarClan happen at regular speed (once and twice a month, respectively) so that they're not happening constantly. This may be tampered with in the future. The forum's calendar will be used to mark when special events happen, the season changes, etc.
