Name: Kira
Age: 38 moons
Gender: Female
Clan/Group/etc.: Kittypet
Rank: None
Current Status: Hunting snakes!
Special Abilities: None
Strengths:
Speed - Despite being a kittypet, she's skinny and can run really fast. And she's had a lot practice using it to dodge through doorways. Faster than the average cat, able to chase down rabbits.
Natural Hunter - Despite being born a kittypet, she has very strong hunting instincts, already has a lot of hunting skill, and can learn more very quickly.
Positivity - She has a natural excitement for life that overrides virtually anything else. She gets angry, sad, etc. but those moods don't last for too long. Life just doesn't get her down.
Energy - She seems to have the energy of two cats, thinking nothing of running when walking will do.
Determination - If she wants something, she gets it, and if she doesn't get it then she'll keep working on getting it until she does.
Weaknesses:
Innocence - One of her core beliefs is that every cat is good on the inside, and, while that helps her make friends, it leaves her unprepared to deal with any cat with bad intentions. She believes pretty much everything she's told until it's proven otherwise, and she's absolutely shocked when she discovers that someone has lied or done any other bad thing.
Immaturity - Perhaps because of her kittypet upbringing, she seems to be stuck in a younger stage of development - the one where she's not totally convinced that hunting is more important than playing, for example. Butterflies are distracting, fallen leaves must be pounced, and let's wrestle!
Kindness - While she's rather fond of play-fighting - her constant demands for Bobby to wrestle with her have been met often enough that she can probably defend herself well enough - when it comes to actual claws-out fighting she's more inclined to run away no matter how good the reason for fighting is. It's not such a problem that she can't overcome it, but it's definitely a hindrance.
Appearance:
Naturally lean, this she-cat has greenish-gold eyes and is almost completely covered in black fur, though a few stray white hairs on her chest show that she's in fact mitted rather than solid. Her round eyes are often widened in excitement, hinting at a cat ready to run move for the slightest of reasons. Her fur is short and silky, easy to keep groomed cleanly enough to shine in the sunlight. Her legs are long in comparison to the rest of her, though she's of fairly average size for a cat.
Personality:
Friendly to a fault, all cats she meets are potential best buddies and she'll keep being nice to them until it's true. She also has a hard time taking danger seriously - life's just a big adventure to her and fighting off that big badger sounds like a super-fantastic fun idea! This can make her seem unintelligent, especially to very serious cats, but she's actually just as clever and insightful as the next cat - she just refuses to let anything get her down.
Biography:
Born among housefolk, she was raised in the standard way of the kittypet - two moons with her mother, before she was given to another group of housefolk. She was treated well by all of them and learned all sorts of fun games to play with them, though she was never allowed Outside and was facinated by what she saw out there, especially the birds. She'd peer at them through the window, wishing she could go Outside and hunt them. It took her a few moons, but eventually she figured out which door led to the Outside. However, that proved to not be as simple as she expected because unlike any other door, her housefolk wouldn't let her go through it. But she was sneaky, and managed to run past them a few times, but each time she was so overwhelmed by the sights and scents that she got so distracted that they were able to catch her and take her back into the house.
But then, on one fateful sunrise, she managed to sneak out the door when her housefolk weren't looking, and she was able to explore and hunt as much as she wanted to. However, because it was all so new to her she suddenly realized that she was lost. And the other kittypets she ran into had no idea where she lived either. But after a couple of sunrises some nice workfolk found her and took her away in their monster. They put her in a small nest in a strange place full of other kittypets who she couldn't see that were frightened and unhappy, but they also gave her food so she was bored but much happier than she had been when she was lost and hungry. Many housefolk came by, but it was several sunrises later that some of them took her with them to their nest.
She liked these housefolk a bit better, because after a quarter moon they took her Outside and showed her their yard, and after another quarter moon they let her freely go in and out of their nest whenever she wanted. They called her Kira. She also met Bobby, who she shared her housefolk with, an old, grumpy tom that she was eventually able to win over. They became good friends, except for the fact that she also made friends with Snowball, the kittypet tom across the Thunderpath, who was always fighting with Bobby. The two toms hated eachother and were always fighting over whether or not Snowball was allowed to cross the Thunderpath. Kira liked to go past Snowball's place to the field beyond it, where there were an abundance of small, harmless snakes to catch and play with. However, not long after she picked up that habit, monsters came and started tearing up the field. She still goes there occasionally to find snakes, but it's much harder now. The only real problem with her life is that Misty, who shares Snowball's housefolk, hates her and attacks her on sight no matter how nice she is. Fortunately, Misty likes to stay Inside most of the time, but not always.
